"John McCain is aware of the internet". This ringing endorsement of the 71-year old Republican nominee's vision for the role of new media in a 21st century democracy was uttered by none other than a McCain tech aide at Monday's Personal Democracy Forum in New York City. Not only did Mark Soohoo effectively confirm reports that the Arizona Senator is computer illiterate, he also highlighted yet another core policy front - along with McCain's abysmal understanding of the economy--on which the candidate lacks even the most rudimentary knowledge required to lead the free world. (Not to mention a country that ranks a meager 15th in the world when it comes to homes with broadband access). Watch McCain's man and the candidate himself get taken to school by Tracy Russo, former Internet Director of the John Edwards campaign.
